While bad credit can hold a lot of people back from getting what they want, there's no reason to keep it from purchasing many of the items you want now.
Many people wrongly thing there's no alternative if their credit is terrible, and so go on for years not having the things they need or want.
Businesses built to handle that very problem exist, and don't ask one question about your credit score. All they want to know is whether you have a legitimate source of income. It doesn't matter what that source is, as long as you have something coming in that can pay for what you want. The types of items you can buy are not trinkets either, you can get quality furniture, big screen television sets, stereo systems, computers, and about any appliance you desire.
What must be watched for in these circumstances is the terms of the contract you sign to buy the items. By terms I mean whether you're going to pay weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or in the case of the military, they customize payment schedules according to when you're paid.
What you're specifically looking for is not how much you're required to pay, but how much it adds up to at the end of the payment period.
I've known a number of people who pay very low weekly rates, who when they look further into it, they're paying in some cases, depending on the product, two or three thousand more than they would if they would have paid it monthly, and at a seemingly higher rate.
The only other stipulation is a down payment, but that usually isn't very much, and almost every transaction I've known of the companies are willing to drop the down payment to very low numbers in order to get your business.
Of course it's better to pay a little more to save money over the long run, but not everyone is able to do that.
So with bad credit and very little cash upfront, you can get many of the dream products you've wanted for a long time simply by going to the companies that are more than ready and willing to provide you that service.
